政府干預市場，單方面實施市區的士「短加長減」收費，扭曲市場，隨即出現紅的中長線反比新界綠的便宜的情況，間接導致紅的向綠的搶客，繼而觸發今次的罷駛事件。

另一方面，報稱紅的司機表示新例實施後，失意損失三、四成之多。更抵死係，運輸署竟然係機場派發單張，主動「好心地」幫乘客格價，鼓勵市民乘搭紅的。結果挑起綠的司機的怒火。

呢次事件，令我諗起40年前郭伯偉既呢番說話：
