Hong Kong-based RD Technologies has secured $40 million in Series A2 funding just ahead of the city’s new stablecoin licensing regime rollout. The fintech firm, known for its HKDR stablecoin project, is partnering with ZA Bank to explore regulated use cases in custody and distribution. The timing aligns with Hong Kong’s ambition to lead the global push for stablecoin oversight starting August 1.
