Google is rolling out automatic memory for Gemini, allowing it to recall “key details and preferences” from past chats without prompts to personalize responses. The feature is on by default but can be turned off in settings, with a “temporary chats” mode ensuring privacy by not training AI or affecting future replies. It will debut on Gemini 2.5 Pro in select countries before expanding to more regions and Gemini 2.5 Flash.
