The Hong Kong Polytechnic University has established the Department of Food Science and Nutrition (FSN), which encompasses food safety, food technology, human nutrition, and traditional Chinese medicine. The department is dedicated to nurturing food experts through professionally designed programs. It has also showcased two significant research achievements. One is AkkMore, a low-calorie ice cream with an anti-obesity formula developed by Research Assistant Professor Sammi Chong.
