CUHK researchers have developed a magnetically guided microcatheter that can deliver drugs directly into the brain’s tiny blood vessels to dissolve clots, then vacuum out debris—completing treatment in just 8 minutes. The tech could transform emergency stroke care and is expected to reach clinical use within two years.
